Whiskey Business: wWw Twin Cities Chapter Inaugural Event!

My boyfriend told me to park on a side street in case the first ever wWw Twin Cities meet up became wild and unpredictable like a Christmas party with too much rum in the eggnog.

Turns out, it wasn't wild and unpredictable at all, to my eventual relief.

Bar tender extraordinaire Dan Oskey met me with a wink and a smile at Hola Arepa in South Minneapolis. I got situated with a cocktail and hairy eyeballed every woman who walked in. My buddy Margaret showed and ordered a Four Roses straight up.

We talked about our relationships with whiskey (campfires, Scotland, an unusually freezing winter in the south of France with nothing but a bottle of Jamo and good company.) We talked about what wWw in MSP could be; an opportunity to meet people outside of your social network under a shared interest in whiskey.

I ordered a second drink, a Fernet Cola  and things got deeper. We truly luxuriated in each other's company which was wonderful.

If this entry is starting to sound like the description of a cheap paperback with Fabio on the cover it's only because you, Twin Cities Woman Who Whiskey, weren't there.

If you're ready to meet some neat ladies, try some good drinks at a bar you may have never heard of and help beautify the face of a fledgling organization destined for greatness, look no further.

The next wWw MSP event will be in February and I can't wait to meet you! Slainte!
